A/N: With all the AU stuff I’ve been doing lately I decided to go ‘classic’ Gensokyo with this seeing as it’s a gift and all. I think it will still be a good story regardless.

The last of the winter snows had begun to become less and less as spring began to take its dominance. Over the last couple of weeks this was especially true around the slopes of Youkai Mountain.
Sanae was growing increasingly excited about not having to wear such heavy robes. Not having to shovel after the snow fell also brought a much wider appeal as well. Though on this day Sanae had risen early and bustled all morning with something more pleasing in mind.
The fact of the matter was Sanae had made a small wager with Kanako regarding when the snow would relent. The goddess said that I would be later in the month and Sanae countered that it would be early. As it was later, Sanae lost the wager.
